Basel is one of Europe's most important life science regions. Almost two thirds of those employed in the Swiss pharmaceutical industry work in the life science cluster. This provides the ideal setting for ILMAC, the Swiss Specialist Fair for Process and Laboratory Technology. ILMAC is designed as a networking platform and, with some 430 exhibitors, provides a representative overview of the sector. Since it was founded in 1959, ILMAC has developed into the leading Swiss supplier fair for pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology, food, beverages and cosmetics. As processes within the companies are now undergoing a change, new concepts are called for. At ILMAC, exhibitors are presenting holistic approaches, new products, innovations and also solutions for the field of process and laboratory technology.
