Frequently Asked Questions

What does «Homogenizing» mean?

Homogenisation is the process of producing a uniform (homogeneous) mixture of different components of a solution that are not soluble in each other. Generally, the emulsion (Liquid-Liquid) or suspension (Particle-Liquid) is more stable for small droplets or particles.

How far should the POLYTRON® aggregate be immersed into the sample?

This depends very much on the material and the aggregate. Please contact our experts for precise information: sales@kinematica.ch

Are there limitations regarding the viscosity of a solution to be homogenized?

The liquid to be homogenised should be "flowable". Depending on the flow properties, a pump can additionally be used in a continuous process. For detailed information on your material and application, please contact our expert team science@kinematica.ch

Can POLYTRON® aggregates be autoclaved?

What is the throughput that can be achieved with Kinematica equipment?

The throughput can vary from a few litres per hour up to 250'000L/h for continuous processes. The throughput always depends on the material and the particle/droplet size to be achieved. If you need more detailed information about your process, please contact our experts: sales@kinematica.ch / CONTACT FORM

What is the highest viscosity that can be processed using Kinematica equipment?
